The General Manager, Luis O. Mayendia, explained that BMF Inc., Distilled Water Plant, was founded in 1998 as the
brainchild of three successful businessmen responding to the lack of a top quality water product in Puerto Rico.
Entrepreneurs Bert Foti (president of International Home Products), Orlando Mayendía (CEO, Central Produce El Jibarito –
the biggest importer/exporter of fruits and vegetables in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean), and engineer Julio Blanco (president of various construction companies and design firms) joined efforts and resources towards
creating Puerto Rico's premier distilled water processing and bottling facility.
Today, Mr. Foti is our company's president, Mr. Blanco acts as vice president, and Mr. Mayendía serves as treasurer.
Our operations have experienced a rapid growth throughout the years and today we employ over 55 skilled professionals in our
processing and bottling plant located in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
Our management staff has ample experience in manufacturing, automation and quality systems. Furthermore, all our
associates are trained under the latest federal regulations, in full compliance with the "Hazard Program."
BMF Inc., Distilled Water Plant's, initial investment amounted to $5,000,000 in infrastructure and an additional
$3,000,000 in equipment. In the past one and a half years, we have invested over $2.5 million towards continued improvements to our infrastructure and acquiring state-of-the-art equipment.
